About Me

I'm a farm girl from the flatlands of central Illinois. I'm not exactly sure when it was that I decided to be an artist, it always just seemed natural to have a pencil in my hand doodling away at something. I recently graduated, in fact, from the University of Illinois with a bachelors in art education.

I am currently doing freelance illustration and design, both for print and web. My art runs the gamut from ridiculous to serious, depending on your needs. I've got my own unique style that often makes use of animals in ridiculous situations. I love animals, especially birds, probably started from early days as a chicken wrangler (pictured). That's probably why there are so many of them populating my art. I'm owned by a particularly noisy sun conure named Sunny, who enjoys eating breakfast with me and sitting in my studio on her perch for moral support.
